The membership of the north sea operators’ Claims Conference is chiefly made up of Shipowners operating on the North Sea, the Baltic or Irish Sea.
Our membership also includes P&I clubs and other related insurers, specialist shipping lawyers, surveyors and other experts.
Since 1976, we have met annually with the aim of sharing knowledge and experience and developing best practice across areas, such as claims management, standard trading conditions, bills of lading terms and the handling of hazardous goods.

Hansa Destinations starts at the end of August 2021 and will transport both goods and passengers between Nynäshamn in Sweden and Rostock in Germany. Some departures will also call at Visby. The first departure is planned for 30 August from Nynäshamn to Rostock. Initially, a vessel, M/S Drotten, will operate the route. The plan is to then increase traffic to two vessels, which means daily departures in both directions.

Hill Dickinson's origins can be traced back to 1810, with the establishment of a Liverpool legal practice by the firm's founder, Edward Morrall. John Edward Gray Hill joined the firm in 1865. Partner William Goffey (known as WG) started his career in 1901 at Hill Dickinson's 10 Water Street office.
